🧰 About the Role
As a Truck Driver, you’ll operate heavy rigid vehicles and specialised equipment used for waste collection, liquid-waste handling, and industrial services. The role requires safe vehicle operation, proper waste handling, and strict compliance with Australian safety and environmental standards.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate Heavy Rigid (HR) trucks, including vacuum trucks, skip trucks, flatbed trucks, and similar heavy vehicles.
• Operate industrial vacuum trucks for liquid-waste collection and transfer.
• Perform hose operation and waste loading/unloading activities safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections, basic vehicle checks, and equipment checks.
• Follow proper procedures for waste collection, transportation, and disposal.
• Assist with high-pressure water-blasting operations where required.
• Maintain accurate work records and communicate with supervisors and site personnel.
• Follow strict workplace safety, waste management, and environmental regulations at all times.
✅ To Qualify, You Must Have:
• Minimum 3 years of heavy vehicle driving experience, preferably with HR trucks.
• Experience operating vacuum trucks, skip trucks, flatbed trucks, or similar heavy vehicles.
• Experience with industrial vacuum trucks, liquid-waste handling, and hose operations is highly desirable.
• Experience with high-pressure water blasting is an advantage.
• A valid driver's licence appropriate for the truck/vehicle being operated.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety, pre-start inspections, waste handling, and environmental procedures.
• Good English communication skills and ability to follow instructions and communicate with customers and site personnel.
• Willingness to complete a driving test or skills assessment before arrival in Australia to demonstrate safe truck operation.
• Ready to provide required visa and employment documentation, including passport, police clearance, and employment records.
