🧰 About the Role
The Retail Manager will oversee the daily operations of a supermarket and hardware store, ensuring smooth store performance, strong sales results, and excellent customer service. This role focuses on team leadership, inventory control, compliance, and driving business growth.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
➤ Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and organization
➤ Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and supplier coordination
➤ Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store staff and department heads
➤ Monitor sales targets and implement strategies to improve store performance
➤ Handle customer inquiries, complaints, refunds, and pricing issues
➤ Manage budgets, expenses, shrinkage, and payroll monitoring
➤ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations
➤ Coordinate deliveries and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
✅ To Qualify, You Must Have:
➤ At least 3 years proven experience managing day-to-day retail operations, including inventory control, stock replenishment, and store procedures
➤ Strong leadership skills with experience in recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff
➤ Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance, set targets, and deliver excellent customer service
➤ Experience in budgeting, expense control, payroll monitoring, and handling refunds or price adjustments
➤ Knowledge of health, safety, and food compliance standards, including inspections and regulatory requirements
➤ Skilled in supplier and vendor management, contract negotiation, and coordinating deliveries and stock rotation
➤ Good English communication skills, with the ability to drive and hold a valid driver’s license
➤ Willingness and readiness to prepare visa documentation (passport, police clearance, employment certificates, and school records)
