We are seeking experienced tradespeople with strong mechanical and automation backgrounds who are ready to work on high-quality projects and advanced systems. 🧰 About the Role As a Gate and Access Automation Installer (Fitter General), you will be responsible for installing, aligning, and commissioning automated gate systems and access control solutions. This role combines mechanical installation and electrical/automation work to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable system performance onsite. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities ➤ Install and set up automated gate systems (sliding, swing, cantilever, bi-parting), boom barriers, and turnstiles ➤ Assemble structural components, frames, and mechanical parts; ensure proper alignment and smooth operation ➤ Install and configure motors, safety devices (photocells, loop detectors), and low-voltage cabling ➤ Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications for accurate installation ➤ Perform machining, fitting, and fabrication tasks (cutting, drilling, grinding, bending, and welding) ➤ Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components ➤ Conduct system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs onsite ➤ Assemble, install, and maintain machines and mechanical equipment ✅ To Qualify, You Must Have ➤ Minimum 5 years’ experience in gate automation, mechanical installation, or access control systems ➤ Proven experience with automated gates, motors, boom barriers, and (preferably) turnstiles ➤ Strong mechanical skills including fitting, alignment, balancing, machining, and equipment maintenance ➤ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams ➤ Experience in low-voltage wiring, safety devices installation, and PLC-controlled systems ➤ Basic welding and fabrication skills (MIG preferred) ➤ Ability to work independently onsite with strong attention to detail and safety ➤ Good English communication skills and complete employment requirements (passport, COEs, certificates, NBI clearance) 🌏 Why Choose Australia? ➤ Work with globally respected companies and advanced technologies ➤ Safe, clean, and highly regulated work environments ➤ Competitive salary packages with superannuation benefits ➤ Opportunity for long-term employment and permanent residency pathways ➤ Enjoy work-life balance with 4 weeks annual leave and sick leave benefits ➤ Experience a high quality of life in one of the world’s most livable countries
