🔧 Now Hiring: Boat Builder and Repairer 📍 Location: Australia 🌍 Open to Skilled Filipino Tradespeople Take your boatbuilding skills to Australia and work with established marine and boat manufacturing companies. This is an opportunity for experienced tradespeople skilled in fibreglass boat construction, lamination, assembly, and repair to build and maintain quality marine vessels. 🧰 About the Role Boat Builders and Repairers are responsible for constructing, assembling, repairing, and finishing boats and marine components. The role involves hands-on work with fibreglass materials, specialised equipment, and boatbuilding processes to ensure vessels meet quality and safety standards. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities: ➤ Perform fibreglass lamination and apply fibreglass materials to boat structures and components. ➤ Build, assemble, and fit fibreglass boat components according to specifications. ➤ Operate gel-coat guns and chopper guns for marine fibreglass production. ➤ Set up, operate, clean, and independently maintain chopper-gun equipment. ➤ Prepare moulds, surfaces, materials, and equipment for fibreglass production. ➤ Inspect finished components and repair defects, imperfections, or damaged fibreglass sections. ➤ Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, fit, sand, and finish boat components. ➤ Follow workplace safety, quality, and production procedures in a marine manufacturing environment. ✅ To Qualify, You Must Have: ➤ Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Boat Builder, Fibreglass Boat Builder, or similar role. ➤ Proven hands-on experience in fibreglass boatbuilding and lamination. ➤ Experience operating chopper guns and gel-coat guns. ➤ Ability to independently set up and maintain chopper-gun equipment. ➤ Experience assembling and fitting fibreglass boat components. ➤ Good understanding of marine fibreglass materials, tools, equipment, and safe work practices. ➤ Good English communication skills and the ability to understand workplace instructions. ➤ Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are advantageous. ➤ Must be prepared to provide required visa and employment documentation, including a valid passport, police clearance, employment records, and relevant training or school records. 🌏 Why Choose Australia? ➤ 💰 Competitive pay with superannuation and employment benefits. ➤ 🏗️ Work with established Australian marine and manufacturing companies. ➤ 🛡️ Enjoy a safe, regulated, and professional work environment. ➤ 🌴 Experience Australia's excellent quality of life, clean cities, and beautiful surroundings. ➤ 📈 Access potential long-term career and permanent residency pathways, depending on your visa and eligibility. ➤ 🏖️ Enjoy employment benefits including 4 weeks of annual leave and 10+ days of personal/sick leave.
