đź§° About the Role
As a Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing cars and light commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards. You’ll ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with Australian regulations while maintaining excellent customer service and workmanship.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
➤ Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic tools
➤ Conduct routine servicing, oil changes, and maintenance checks
➤ Repair or replace worn and faulty parts, including brakes, suspension, and steering systems
➤ Test drive vehicles to identify issues and confirm repairs
➤ Perform wheel alignments, balancing, and tyre changes
➤ Maintain detailed service and repair records in line with workshop procedures
➤ Follow strict workplace health and safety practices
➤ Collaborate with workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards
âś… To Qualify, You Must Have:
➤ Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
➤ Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
➤ Experience with automotive diagnostic scanners and tools
➤ Relevant trade qualification in Automotive Servicing or Light Vehicle Technology
➤ Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
➤ Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
➤ Can drive and has a valid driver’s license
➤ Must have complete visa support documents, including: passport, police clearance, employment reference letters, salary evidence (e.g., pay slips, government contributions), academic credentials
